She is the vast reaches of outer
space, the infinite expanses of the Universe, Her toe and finger-prints
the spiral nebulae of entire galaxies, 'Her lithe body arched for love'
(Liber Al, 1:26); Her '...hair the Trees of Eternity' (Al 1:59) - the
Hebrew Tree of LIfe (depicted here in interlinked 'Jacob's Ladder'
chains) is an esoteric system encapsulating cosmology above and beyond
(but including) the Earthly plane.
Traditionally depicted side-on
arched aboveover the top of many Ancient Egyptian stelae, here Nuit is
seen from a geocentric viewpoint, from below, Her body the Vault of the
Heavens.
To the Hindus She is VishvaMata,
the 'Mother of the Universe'.
The Mayans call the dark rift at the
centre of the Milky Way 'The Womb of the Great Mother'. At the centre
of Her Yoni is the Pole Star.

'CONJUNCTIO' which -like this issue of Silver Star- is launched on this
September 2008 EquinoXuliuqE (being also the anniversary of Orryelle's Alchymic Wedding

The Book CONJUNCTIO presents mirrored pairs of Sacred Twins and Divine
Lovers from various cultural pantheons coupled on facing pages. They
are aligned in such a way that when the pages are turned the figures
are United in holy conjunction by the alchemical reader.
Different reflective relationships -alchymic opposites and
complementaries- are explored b e t w e e n the pages.
The plate of the Ancient
Egyptian Star-Goddess Nuit faces in the Grimmoire a plate of the
Earth-God Geb -His phallus the Pole of the planet, yearning for the
Pole Star above.
B e t w e e n them is a
transparent insert of the Air-God Shu (the atmosphere) who separates
them.
Also on this insert is Rahu, the
Hindu Asura-Deva of Eclipses who from one side of the transparency
consumes the solar disc of Hadit born from Nuit's womb each day (above)
and from the other side of the transparency consumes the lunar cosmic
egg of Geb.
