The
New Magick

Just as there was an Age of Enlightenment and a Scientific Revolution
in our world history, the advent of the Age of Aquarius, the Double
Current, or Double Consciousness, there is an evolution being termed
The New Magick. The Order of the Golden Dawn, Theosophy, the New
Age, Chaos Magick have been some of the precursors in breaking down the
old paradigm of Magick and foreshadowing this New Magick. In the
old paradigm there were masters, teachers, gurus who took the student
and the novice into their training to initiate them into the secret
mysteries handed down through the ages. In the last 100 years
this has begun to shift. No longer do we need priests, gurus,
teachers and masters exclusively to intercede for us. Now many
people have been having spontaneous transmissions, self-initiations,
gift of prophecy and channeling, speaking in tongues and Angelic
languages, redefining sacred geometry, the tree of life, and many new
tools of the psychonaut and the technomage. Don’t get me wrong,
you can still have mentors and teachers, and gurus, but they are not
exclusively necessary as they were in the Age of Pisces.
In the old paradigm, previous single minded consciousness, we were
stuck in the duality and perception of separation. Magick was all
about power over others, and power over situations. Now with the
double consciousness flooding the Indigos and Star Children, we are
being born with awareness of something more going on than was generally
perceive with our five senses. The sixth sense is opening up with
many new pioneers, about the time the internet is connecting our global
consciousness.
In the new paradigm, the energies of Aquarius is shifting our
consciousness, expanding our awareness beyond duality and separation,
into the Quantum reality of Oneness, that we are each a fractal of the
whole. In the new paradigm when a magus performs magick, s/he is
transformed in the experiment and the ritual. No longer do we
just affect the world outside of ourselves, but we create real change
by transforming ourselves with our magick, changing our
consciousness. We are learning the power of intention and prayer
is valuable, no matter what the faith. Now it is more about power
with others, power united with the power of other forces, conjoining
and cooperating to create new paradigms of insight, ingenuity, and
breakthroughs in the Global Consciousness.
In the New Magick we don’t have to be exclusively called anything, we
can eclectically chose from being shamans, healers, magicians, magus,
witches, preachers, ministers, and whatever term one wishes to call
oneself. You can be called a Thelemite, a Kaos Magickian, the
Technomage, a Chronomage, and whatever new term you develop. The
label is not the container. A New Magickian can be proactive, an
activist in the world, to improve the plight of humanity, and raise the
consciousness of the Planet that we are all in this together. A
Technomage works with Science and Technology to create new rituals and
paradigms of transformation, the Chronomage works with Time and Space
and develops new ways of using our relationship with time to project
our magick into the future or the past, to develop the present, working
with alternative calendar systems and trance states of consciousness.
New systems, new psychic tools are emerging during this growth of New
Magick. Each and every person can be a contributor. You may
have a new numerology to share. You might have a new technique
with hypnosis. You might have a new ritual to share. Or a
new sacred hands on approach to healing like Reiki or Reconnection
energy. As a member of the Star Chamber, we contribute to the
abundance and growth of our associates and members. We are a
collective of people from various schools of metaphysics, new age
healing, and magick. We are not here to prove or disprove,
compete on who has the most perfect or best system, but to share our
unique gifts and contribute to the whole. With the Star Chamber,
we are here to assist one another to become the Stars that we are, the
shining consciousness of a New Magick.
