Free Illuminism: Introduction and
Contacts

What does it mean to work in free communion? First, one should realize
we are here talking about certain underlying principles rather than
hard and fast rules. Congregational Illuminism is an open system based
upon these principles. Being an open system it is fluid and adaptable
rather than rigid and constrained. Free Communion is a verb (i.e. these
principles put into practice), or as some may prefer, a particular
approach that is adopted to engage in the Work.
Congregational Illuminism is non-hierarchical and non-authoritarian.
This means there is no rank or stratification and there is no central
authority or “inner circle”. Congregational Illuminism is based on a
bottom-up rather than a top-down model. We feel that all too often has
it been shown that strict hierarchies within magical organizations have
led to petty politics and useless power struggles. We say, do away with
all this, level the playing field and focus on the Work. We have no
Grand Poobahs. What we do have is an ever-growing number of sincere and
dedicated Illuminists who have voluntarily come together in free
association with each other to work in unity, openness and peace.
Our goal is Illumination. Our approach is both experimental and
experiential. We are not an Order, or a singular organization. Many
independent groups have formed. Many individuals contribute in their
own ways as well. We view this diversity as a great benefit. We share
our gnosis across borders. We peer review our successes and our
failures. We feel this approach aids us all in attaining a closer
approximation to what is true and to what works. We hold no
superstitions sacred. We take a scientific and functional approach to
the Work. There is nothing to hide. There are no secrets. There are
only our own efforts and struggles towards enlightenment. This is
enough.

How to Form a Congregational
Illuminist Body
[This statement was prepared on the In Free Communion working group,
with special thanks to T Allen Greenfield and Brother Kibrick]
At this important point in the evolution of the Western Magical
Tradition, it is becoming increasingly apparent that restrictive forms
of gnosis based upon “grade systems” are becoming irrelevant for many
who are attempting to perform the great work at this time; that is
perhaps why you have read this far. Congregational illuminists
operating on the principles of Scientific Illuminism find that,
although some may have worked alone for extended periods, they may be
living in a place on the Earth where they have no contact with others
who may benefit from the sharing and developing research
that could be usefully applied individually and collectively.
All congregational illuminists are dedicated to the furtherance of the
Great Work, through themselves and through mutual help.
The NEXT STEP, may be that you want to set up your own centre of
working. Free Illuminist bodies are just that - free to choose forms,
write their own charters (samples are available as general ideas), be
involved in such community organizing as a chartered lodge under the
Rite Ancien et Primitif de Memphis-Misraim, or affiliated with the
Ecclesia Gnostica Universalis (EGnU), which focuses on the spiritual
form such as Celebratory Masses and Liturgical work, or being totally
autonomous bodies or nodes in voluntary communion with other illuminist
bodies to whatever extent a local body
or node deems appropriate.

This website is dedicated
to helping individuals understand and apply the principles of alchemy. The most basic tenet of alchemy is
that there are two primary ways of knowing reality, and learning to
work with both of them is how we must begin the journey of
transformation.
The
aim of the Horus/Maat Lodge is to manifest the Double Wanded God-dess.
The energies available are the Double Currents of Horus and Maat. The 93 Current manifests
as; The twins Ra-Hoor-Khuit and Hoor-paar-Kraat united, the child or
center of the Aeon named Heru-ra-ha.
The 696 or Maat Current
manifests as; the next age or possibly the last named Aeon. The
Daughter to follow the Son. The Balancing of Stars in the future
in the name of Truth.
The lodge is freedom,
nothing more. Those who work and are comfortable with the 93 Current
CAN seek the future Aeon if it be their Will! We have envisioned the future and wish
to communicate with others who are serious.
There is a division or
two matrixes or Mandalas in the Horus/Maat Lodge, and these should be
remembered. They are only what people make of
them. But our purpose is Harmony. 2=0.
Those who are not
interested in Maat are invited to join with the Lodge anyway since the
law is Do What Thou Wilt.
We are accomplishing the
Great Work! Analysis and Synthesis.
"To see the delusion of the material world, its involvements, and its
bondage, but also to understand its relative reality as a matrix for
development.
The Cosmic People have only one precept:
"Not to cause harm, loss or suffering to any other living
creature beyond that of dire necessity."
To develop the powers and wisdom of the supraconscious mind; to become
awake and aware; to attain freedom on all levels.
We came from God and to divinity we must return.
To establish contact with our Guardian Spirit and to live in harmony
with it. Thus we attain divine grace and guidance.
To live in accord with the natural law of Earth and Cosmos. This is the
Way of Life of Cosmic People and is without frustrations and
oppressions.
Let us never forget that in our True Nature we are Divine and Immortal.
To study the Secret Sciences, to gain esoteric Knowledge and Guidance.
To do the experimental work to confirm our beliefs and make all this
possible.
To be free, to live free, and maintain freedom; to live by our own Will
and enjoy real happiness on all levels.
To spread our Wisdom and Work so that all worthy people may be
enlightened by it and live in harmony and enjoy peace, freedom and
happiness.
This is the Magnum Opus of all Magick and Esoteric Sciences. It should
be our objective, aim and Way of Life.
Thus, we should live by this Magick and when we are ready to leave this
earthly life we can truly say,
"All my Life, Love, and Learning has been dedicated to the most noble
cause in the world - Real Peace, Real Freedom, and Real Happiness for
all Mankind."
