The 15 kalas of Kali are the lunations of Her dark
fortnight (the waning moon) while the sixteenth is
MahaKala ('Great Kala') Himself -the colours of Time
(without which there can be no form) emitting from the
Black Void (Kali).  In terms of secretions then, the
great kala is the seminal lifeforce which comes
from/is Mahakala who Himself comes from (and returns
to via orgasm) Her womb. Thus MahaKala is akin to
Voudon Ghuede (Lord of Sex and Death) as it is only
the cycles of regeneration that create Time (and
Lila's play of form upon this loom). Thus semen as
creation and destruction is the Great Kala of death
and birth -cycles of timemit.

 The 8-rayed web forms the outer rays, together with
the spaces inbetween the 16 kalas of timemit are
formed.
