Tantric Madness, Ecstasy and Chakra-Blowing Grooves

Part 1

MC Yogi's Elephant Power
White Swan Records

This wildly feral Tantric-chant-out features DJed music from Kirtan masters including: Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, and Bhagavan Das.

http://mcyogi.com/

Hip hop rap Tantrika, Sankrit-ized beats with a strong, very clear, Pagan-Tantric flow throughout and within the very soulful myth-songs. Fun, great to dance to, excellent teachings on Ganesh, Shiva, Buddha and many other really excellent Gods and Goddesses that I love and play with. A very fine occult party album- scattered with uplifts and petals of important bits of wisdom. Many-hued groove fun flys out of it like sparkles from a big Elephant Shaped sparkler…
Jai Ganesh indeed!

(Lyrics:)

“Elephant Power

You are the son of Uma / your brother is Subrahmanya / you have a big fat red belly / your father is Mahadeva
chorus
 Gum Ganapataye Namo Namah
I pray to Ganesha to take away the pressure / and pave the way into the sacred treasure / Om Gum Ganapateyeah Namaha to the god of all beginnings always on the job / when I ever I practice or rehearse a verse / I always make sure to invoke you first …….”

Who can argue with that?!

 CHEB I SABBAH

http://www.chebisabbah.com/

Consider this more of a Guru review than a  music review. A lot of ‘world musicians’ try very hard to do what this Master of the International Blesh Music does with seemingly little effort, smiling and rocking away as galaxies spin around him- how fun is that?
Slip into the group unconscious mind and see the deserts and the jungles and the oceans and the mountains come together- the 4 directions in aural brilliance and diversity, dancing together like a fire circle, like a constellation of rhythm. Also! He spins (and weaves) amazing dance music- it will rock your ass off and taste like honey. It was my greatest joy a year ago to see Cheb I Sabbah live-  This is what the world will be listening to in the future- glad it’s here now-
Jai Durga!

While all of his records are amazing, I particularly recommend:

Shri Durga
&
Devotion
(both by Six Degrees Records)

Here is an excellent youtube of OM NAMAH SHIVAYA-
ahhh!!!!! So smoooooothe:

ASIAN TRAVELS COLLECTION

This is a shout out to get your attention and seduce you into listening to a serious collection of amazing Asian-fusion-Kundulini-snapping music that is my favorite party album. This cluster of spinning tunes is an amazingly spicy bundle of so many different cultures, bending strongly towards the East, yet it is light and varied and refreshing, like a buffet of chilled, multicolored fruits and iced champagne. Just plain fun, and something to dip in and out of multiple times. It is amazing that the differences and similarities in the basic musical themes and archetypes both pull and push at you, causing you to love some songs one night and ignore others only to find another night that the once ignored songs are far deeper than you thought. So many interesting and amazing musicians are on the compilation including Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Najma, Joi, DJ Cheb I Sabbah, Transglobal Underground, Fila Brazilia and Banco De Gaia. Will this album, or the other Six Degrees ‘Traveler’ albums, change the world? No, probably not, but they are a remarkably uplifting jolt of positive mystical vibes from all sorts of hidden newly-sprouted alchemical marriages of the flowers of the East and West.
Spash in the musical waterfalls of global traveling, throw a Full Moon party, feast! Rejoice! And put on some Prana Lifting tunes!
