(note: As
a Wiccan elder and Thelemite/Chaos type, I have always wanted to do a
synergistic play on the traditional ‘drawing down of the moon’ ritual
focusing on the Silver Star instead of the moon (or the sun). Here is
my effort. Deep bows and thanks to the Wiccans who came before me who
preserved the Drawing Down the Moon rituals and whose work I pattern
this on. BB)
In this
ritual the Goddess Sothis becomes incarnate in the
High Priest/ess. The High Priest/ess stands in front of the
altar with his/her back to it. S/he holds the +wand in his/her right
hand and the -wand in his/her left. S/he crosses her wrists
and crosses the +wand and -wand above them
while holding them close to his/her breast and
says:
Sothis, Sopdet,
Sut! Great Heart of
Nuit! In all your
beauteous light Shine down on
and through us here And with your
rainbow Ray Open the Gates
of In Between! Arise bright
and glittering Over the Earth,
Center of Sky, reflected in Sea Descend in
brilliance To Me To Me! The Magick, the
Mystery the Might Oh spell of Nox Power of Night! In Starlight
the Tree shall Grow About it every
sea shall flow Cross roads of
future Nexus of Past Present
/eternity First to The
Last! The O Secret
Lady of Power Of crystal hum And glittering
flower Fill us with
your light that we make see And become The Star, the
Serpent The TREE The moment of
creation And infinity Sothis Sopedt Sut! So may it be!
The High Priest/ess Reaches up to the shining star and sees
it above and its light fills his/her crown and body and and lights up
his/her TET/spine like a Yule tree. Saying:
The light is
Mine It’s rays
consume me! I have made a
secret door Into the house
of RA! (reach east)
And TUM! (reach west)
Of KEPHERA! (reach north)
And AHATHOR! (reach south)
Reach up and
GRAB the Light!- say:
I am the
prophet of the Silver star Astrum Argentum Here You Are.
Haaaaaaaaaaaa!
The priest/ess
Finds Ecstasy in Astrum Argentum Working. And so anoints/kisses the
star power of The Silver Ster upon his/her Body: both feet, both knees,
genitals, both breasts, and the lips, starting with the right of each
pair. S/he says, as s/he does this:
Blessed be my
feet, that have
brought me in the Path of True Will and True Love. Blessed be my
knees, that shall
kneel upon the sacred altar, the Little Sister, the Earth. Blessed be my
sex, without which
we would not be, without which the temple is without fire. Blessed be my
lips, that shall
utter the Sacred Words, that shall become the silence."
If two people
are doing this ritual together, they embrace and see their chakras glow
with brilliant white stellar light together. If done alone, the
magickian embraces him/herself and rises up in a single beautiful
pillar of starfeather flame…then…slowly spinning…then invokes:
I invoke and
call upon you O most ancient
Star Goddess Priestess of
the Night and source of ALL By serpent,
tree, star and fire By Love and
Will And inflamed
Desire! Descend as
brilliance, Fill this body Fill this mind Sill this spirit O Gnosis divine! FIAOF!
During this invocation he/she touches him/herself with right
forefinger on right breast, left breast, and womb, repeats the set and
finally the right breast. Now s/he spreads arms out and down,
with the palms forward and says:
Above, the
gemmed azure is The naked
splendour of Nuit; She bends in
ecstasy to kiss The secret
ardours of Hadit. The winged
globe, the starry blue, Are mine, O
Ankh-af-na-khonsu (Name)!
The High Priest/ess stands up and steps backwards. and draws the
Invoking unicursal hexigram in the air with both wands, simultaneously
and says:
Be goodly
therefore: dress ye all in
fine apparel; eat rich foods
and drink sweet wines and wines that
foam! Also, take your
fill and will of love as ye will, when, where and
with whom ye will! But always unto
me To Nuit!
The High Priest/ess should be in a trance now. This is a good time to
do any sort of powerful Star Magick or just meditation on The Body of
Nuit and being a Star (Sothis: Sirius A & B= RHK & HPK) as
Hadit.

When the Charge
or Creed is finished, the Goddess/star power must be returned unto
Sothis with Love & Will:
I love you! I yearn to you! Pale or purple, veiled or
voluptuous, I who am all
pleasure and purple, and drunkenness
of the innermost sense, desire you. Put on the
wings, and arouse the
coiled splendour within you: come unto me!
To Me! To Me!
(Arms crossed,
power infesed)
The priest/ess
then goes outside (if not outside already) under the stars. He/she touches
the earth and as he/she rises redirects all the intense steller
energies invoked back into the heavens, back to Sothis,as an offering,
a prayer, a spell and a com-union:
