What follows is
a reinterpretation of the meaning of the ‘barbarous words’ or power
words that form the core of this ritual. Only the power words are
listed, the rest of the text has been removed. It is suggested that the
original be consulted first, see the link above.
No great
authority is claimed for this ‘translation’ of these power words. I am
guided by knowledge and experience of QBLH, various magicks and the
hand and laughter of my Guardian Spirit. Also, I have been using this
ritual, off and on, for some 35 years.
This article
was begun in the late 1980s and was put on ‘pause’ as I wrote YOUR
GUARDIAN ANGEL AND YOU, which contains a form of this ritual and
explains an approach to the ‘knowledge and conversation of the holy
guardian angel’. Crowley (and I) have used Liber Samech to help
accomplish this, thus my fascination and interest in it. Now, I have
suddenly found this unfinished article and have been pushed to finish
it! So it is done. Have fun.
